I am pretty sure that the material used for the patch between Drums and Space is from
03/27/83 Irvine Meadows.
I cross checked them and that is my current opinion.
Thanks for all the great work from people mastering, editing and posting these recordings.

I have heard on a number of occasions that recording at Ventura was a challenge because of the wind.

Remember this show...OH TOO WELL>>>>>
music was fine, the sound system a bit questionable with the elements. Very dusty and windy and the sun was intense!....
All in all a great show, recording here is excellent and very smooth. It is one of those, you had to be there shows.
I should know...I was Mr. Naked that day....just n case you were wondering......don't drink from anyone's water bottle at a Dead show.....

Subject: Another Sleeper
This show is not one would call a show above all shows, none the less, it is another one of those "sleeper shows" that we could never imagine falling into one of the ages, no sir!
After a rough start this amazing show morphs into a whole other world -- thanks to this amazing recording.
Thank you, Rango Keshavan.
Absolutely superb audience recording. Kudos.
A listener may initially conclude that this is another run-of-the-mill Grateful Dead show, but be forewarned. This is another run-of-the-mill great Grateful Dead performance, all in all, witnessed by this pristine recording.
What lies here is an encouraging testimony to the logical appreciation of technology. The Sony D5 cassette recorder with the complementary EC-220 mics produces an extraordinary recapture of real-logic atmospheric variances.
A frank appraisal of the essence of melding sound within.
